Reviews
It is not just the food, but as well how it is served determines the strong association of food taste and corresponding memory !!
Found this place, an evening before Christmas where most of the dining were wrapping up for closure for Christmas.
Overall food was great, especially the house specials. And they are totally flexible to customize the orders per our preferences.
They were generous to offer whole avocados and sides for free to our toddler. Which was a surprise, as many city side restaurants wouldn’t care to do that.
Lastly, I could see the success of their business the way there were caring for others. I met Andrew and heard that the group of friends partnered to start this venture and they source within their own farm locally.
I could, not only see the generosity and customer first attitude from the owners but as well from every worker I happened to bump there in my short visit with families.
Kudos to the team!
Keep up the good work. I’m sure you all will grow stronger and serve better in the days to come.
Great little lunch spot to hit while in Solvang; also very pet-friendly!
Fennel sausage pizza: 5/5, tomato sauce was so fresh and the dough was light and airy, making the crust with a similar texture to a Detroit style pizza; all of that to pair with fennel sausage and mozzarella *chefs kiss*
Caesar salad: 4/5, it’s a good Caesar! Appreciate them cutting and toasting their own bread for the croutons, but in doing so, sacrificed the usual seasoning on croutons which I missed with this dish
Escargot: 4/5, meaty escargot with usual garlic, butter, and acidity of lemon to cut through all that
Overall, love their expansive menu consisting of very different dishes. Def would come back to try all the other items on the menu including the sandwiches
We stopped in for a late lunch, enjoyed the Little Gem Salad, BBQ Brisket sandwich, Beef Tongue Pastrami Rueben Sandwich, and Chicken Pesto Pizza. The food was all very good, my favorite was the brisket..
The service was friendly and helpful.
Thanks All..
We stopped off here on our drive to Santa Cruz by recommendation from our guide book and it was the best choice we ever made.
Unbelievable food, great environment and awesome service. I could have eaten the whole menu gladly. Go out of your way to come here.
Okay, let me explain my rating. If you’re a carnivore this menu is for you. If you’re not, not many options. Also, does not appear to be celiac friendly (not marked, yon nothing obvious). My SO and kids loved it - they had the beef tongue pastrami Reuben, the cubano, and the brisket. Everyone loved their food.
Great selection of drinks. Cool, relaxed atmosphere. Kid friendly.
If you’re driving through the area, and you’re a meat eater, this place is definitely worth getting off the freeway for.
I was in the area and this spot popped up as a great place to eat before going to the nearby wine tasting spots.
We ordered the beets with hummus, mushroom pizza, tempura fried green beans, brisket sandwich and pork fried banh mi. The hummus and bread was a good starter, solid flavor and the crispy bread along with traditional bread were great. The mushroom pizza was excellent, nice and garlicky with a lot of flavor. Solid crust and an amazing pizza overall.
The brisket sandwich is was also solid and delicious. The meat pieces were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fried green beans were surprisingly great and I wish there were more dipping options.
The pork banh mi I thought was ok, I was as expecting more braised pork belly that was crispy rather than a fried piece of pork. It’s more of a hearty fried pork sandwich than a Banh mi that im used to. Compared to a “Lee’s Sandwiches” type banh mi, I think it was ok. Either way it was an excellent dining experience and solid customer service. The red wine they had was also a great addition to the meal too.
I’d definitely come back again and they their other menu items. Parking is limited and on Sunday it we got lucky to get a spot.
A friend and I shared the duck citrus salad, the snap peas pita yogurt Za’atar, and the shrimp prosciutto bruschetta. All the dishes were good, but the salad was fantastic! We’re here for a week and we’re already planning to go back later in the week!
Cool place it's industrial vibe lends to a relax atmosphere and welcoming. The food is amazing. Whenever we are in the area this is a must stop for our family.
